Learning essential social skills through drama

For children and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental, communication, and social skill challenges, our innovative program transports them beyond the solitary and toward the shared experience through interpersonal and social interplay.

Stepping stones on the path to social success.

The ACT Project utilizes a variety of creative drama and drama therapy activities to enable participants to develop and strengthen social communication and relationship building skills and to experience an enhanced sense of social competency.
ACT Project participants improvise and work together to create and develop scripts based on individual interests, explore and experiment with a wide variety of roles learning to problem solve, to envision a wider array of options and to break through rigid behavior patterns to develop new and more functional behaviors and responses. Students work together creatively, enhancing the ability to collaborate, negotiate and compromise.
